The long version.

Sydney Blanchard is a creative consultant and brand strategist with nearly a decade of experience helping founders and creatives turn their visions into thriving, standout businesses. A Louisiana native, she graduated from Louisiana State University in 2015 with a B.A. in Mass Communication, concentrating in Journalism, and minored in History and English.

While at LSU, Sydney honed her craft as a writer and editor for LEGACY Magazine and the Reveille, where she served as Editor-in-Chief and became the first in the magazine’s history to turn a profit. She also contributed to TigerTV's satirical news program The Funyon and interned with the inaugural Louisiana International Film Fest, 225 Magazine, and food blogger Jay Ducote of Bite & Booze.

After graduating, she became Ducote’s second hire at Bite & Booze, where she managed social media content, wrote about the local food scene, covered press tours for the blog, nurtured brand partnerships and spearheaded e-commerce.

In 2016, Sydney made New Orleans her home and transitioned into freelancing, quickly building a reputation as a social media strategist and content creator.

She co-founded Damn Straight Social in 2017, landing nationally renowned cookbook author and blogger Joy the Baker as a client and later joining her team to develop The Bakehouse, a home-based baking school in New Orleans. Over five years, she organically grew its Instagram following to 30,000 and spearheaded standout projects like nationwide pop-up baking classes, a pandemic-era pivot to virtual events that resulted in The Bakehouse’s most profitable year to date, and The Bakeaway, a sold-out three-day baking retreat.

Following her time with Joy the Baker, Sydney continued to expand her portfolio, offering consulting and creative services to clients across industries like food, weddings, health and beauty, travel, and interiors.

In 2023, she joined Probably This, a duo of Tennessee-based interior design influencers, as a strategic consultant for business diversification efforts. Her role was multifaceted: she created systems to streamline content production, vetted and hired photographers, produced and styled content shoots, and worked closely with brand partners on campaign execution. Beyond content creation, she consulted on the diversification of revenue streams, including the acquisition of a small-batch jam company and the launch of a short-term rental and experiential events on the Tennessee property.

Last year, Sydney shifted her focus to consulting and coaching in order to expand her reach. She launched Quench, a group program designed to help female entrepreneurs combat burnout, and integrated energetic practices like reiki into her methodology. Her no-nonsense strategy and holistic approach empower clients to address both business challenges and personal blocks, unlocking new levels of success.

When she’s not consulting, Sydney continues to refine her craft through workshops, certifications and creative collaborations. Whether managing high-pressure content shoots or guiding founders through transformative growth, she is driven by a commitment to helping others do more of what they love—on their terms.
